What does the VORT test involve?
The Vehicle on Road Test (VORT) is a practical driving test conducted in South Australia, that assesses a drivers skills and knowledge. The test consists of two parts - 5 low speed manoeuvres and a general drive, which takes approximately 45 minutes in total. The 5 slow speed maneuvers are: move off, U-turn, 3-point turn, 90 degree angle park and reverse parallel park. To pass the test, you must score a pass mark of at least 90% and not break any road laws. If any breach of road law occurs during the test, it will result in an immediate fail and the test will be stopped. The examiner will provide Lena with a copy of your test marking sheet and she will then give a you summary of your performance.
Do you organise the VORT test?
Yes! Lena will only organise a VORT test after assessing your driving to ensure that you are at the appropriate standard that is required to complete a VORT test.
Can I use your car for the VORT test?
Yes you can! Lena's Learners students conduct the VORT test in the same vehicle they have been training in. To help you feel fully prepared, she recommends having a 60 minute refresher lesson before the VORT test where the 5 slow manoevres are practised as well as general driving, ensuring you're confident and ready for the assessment. Lena will then take you to the test starting location where you will meet your Examiner and proceed with the test. Once the test is complete, Lena will then drive you home safely.
Do you work in the evenings & weekends?
Yes! Lena is very flexible in her working hours and can accommodate most student requirements.
